The Orosi Cardinals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Farmersville 88-16 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Orosi has managed all season.
Bryant Gomez was his usual excellent self, shooting 7-for-11 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double on 32 points and nine rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Glenn Fermin, who scored 11 points along with eight steals and six assists.
Orosi is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Farmersville, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.
Orosi will head out on the road to take on the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wonderful College Prep Academy has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 9. As for Farmersville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Titans at 7:30 p.m. Orange Cove is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
