They really took it to Tuscaloosa Home Educators for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-33 win on the road. With East Central HomeSchool ahead 39-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
East Central HomeSchool was led to victory by Hannah Bankston and Micah Coalson. Bankston scored 19 points along with seven rebounds, while Coalson scored 27 points along with seven assists and two steals. Coalson is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Emma Nelson, who scored eight points along with five steals.
East Central HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Central HomeSchool will take on Ezekiel Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ezekiel Academy's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so East Central HomeSchool's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Evangel Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
