The St. Brendan Sabres will play host again and welcome the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart Cyclones, where tip off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Brendan will be strutting in after a win while Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart will be coming in after a loss.
Last Monday, St. Brendan earned a 54-42 victory over NSU University. 54 seems to be a good number for St. Brendan as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Brendan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gianna Vindigni, who scored 18 points. The contest was Vindigni's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Castro, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart lost to Palmer Trinity on the road by a decisive 64-47 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Palmer Trinity is ranked 22nd).
St. Brendan's win bumped their season record to 4-2 while NSU University's defeat dropped theirs to 2-2.
Things could have been worse for St. Brendan, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-45 loss to Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart when the teams last played back in January. Thankfully for St. Brendan, Sofia Travieso (who scored 43 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
