Whitmire has gone 8-2 against Ware Shoals recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Whitmire took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Thursday. Everything went their way against Thornwell as they made off with an 11-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won four in a row.

Ware Shoals came out on top against Thornwell on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run sixth inning. The Hornets put the hurt on the Saints with a sharp 12-6 win.

Stella Eichhorn made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Paisley Pelfrey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Watts, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Ware Shoals has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Whitmire, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Whitmire took their victory against Ware Shoals when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 14-3 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
