The Rich Hill Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Osceola Indians on Friday. Rich Hill comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Rich Hill fell victim to Lockwood's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Tigers at home and fell 59-0. While losing is never fun, Rich Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Lockwood is ranked fifth).
Meanwhile, Osceola put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Greenfield at home to the tune of 76-20.
Sam Jones was his usual excellent self, rushing for 145 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries. Jones is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Devin Bloom made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Rich Hill's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.0 points per game. As for Osceola, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4.
Rich Hill took a serious blow against Osceola in their previous meeting on October 6th, falling 46-6. Can Rich Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
