The Great Mills Hornets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Chesapeake Science Point with a sharp 77-54 win. The win was familiar territory for Great Mills who now have six in a row.
Great Mills was led to victory by Jermaine Davis and Jameson Dyson. Davis scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, while Dyson scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Logan Mills, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Great Mills' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.33 points. As for Chesapeake Science Point, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Great Mills' road trip will continue as they head out to face La Plata at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. La Plata will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Great Mills is ranked 30th). As for Chesapeake Science Point, they will play host again and welcome Southwestern, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
