Lyons has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Red Creek Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lyons has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Lyons put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Rose-Wolcott 81-47 on the road. Given Lyons' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Cougars are ranked 780th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Red Creek's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a hard 73-58 fall against Gananda Central. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lyons pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Red Creek, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Lyons was able to grind out a solid win over the Rams when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 60-47. Will Lyons repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
