Phoebus is 8-2 against Hampton since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Phoebus Phantoms will play host again and welcome the Hampton Crabbers, where kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Phoebus walked away with it. They blew past Jamestown, posting a 104-0 win at home. Phoebus might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine games by 22 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Hampton gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 32-25 victory over Smithfield. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hampton.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hampton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamarrie Lumpkins, who picked up 102 receiving yards, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Phoebus has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48.54 points. As for Hampton, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Everything went Phoebus' way against Hampton in their previous meeting back in September as Phoebus made off with a 28-6 victory. Does Phoebus have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hampton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
