The Texline Tornadoes entered their tilt with the Wildorado Mustangs with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Texline came out on top against Wildorado by a score of 53-46 on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but Texline was the better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Texline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Clay, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Drumm, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Texline's win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-4. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.15 points. As for Wildorado, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Texline will take on Hartley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hartley has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for Wildorado, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pringle-Morse at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pringle-Morse will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1318th, while Wildorado is ranked 354th).
