The Olympia Titans and the Apopka Blue Darters will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Olympia will be looking to keep their 14-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Olympia faced Edgewater in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Olympia walked away with a 69-58 win over Edgewater. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Kameren Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Owens, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Apopka can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Wekiva by a score of 48-38.
Olympia is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Apopka, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Olympia strolled past Apopka when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 58-43. Does Olympia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Apopka turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
