Basketball Recap: Union County Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Union County had won two straight games and Heaven Scott did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Union County Fightin' Tigers came out on top against the West Nassau Warriors by a score of 41-28 thanks in part to Scott, who went 9 of 16 en route to 23 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Iamorieah Williams, who posted six points along with seven boards and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Union County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. As for West Nassau, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Union County has already played their next game, a 38-31 win against Hope Christian Academy on the 17th. As for West Nassau, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-25 loss against Yulee on the 20th.
