The Alliance Aviators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. The contest between Alliance and Rootstown wasn't particularly close, with Alliance falling 60-44. Alliance has struggled against Rootstown recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Rootstown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nadia Lough out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sasha Nichols, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Alliance's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-9. As for Rootstown, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alliance will stay at home for another game and welcome Salem at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Salem has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Rootstown, they will be playing at home against Mogadore at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mogadore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 408th, while Rootstown is ranked 58th).
