Meanwhile, Whitehaven scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 97-85 victory over Hillcrest. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Whitehaven, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Mitchell was dealt a bruising 81-41 defeat at the hands of Whitehaven in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Mitchell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
