The Avon Grove Charter Wolves's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Falcon at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Avon Grove Charter suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 89-51 loss at the hands of Tri-State Christian. While losing is never fun, Avon Grove Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 246th in Pennsylvania, while Tri-State Christian is ranked 62nd in Maryland).
Despite the loss, Avon Grove Charter had strong showings from Xavier London, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds, and Ayub Massaquoi, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Fellowship of Christian Athletes suffered a rough 69-48 defeat at the hands of Providence Christian Academy on Tuesday. Fellowship of Christian Athletes has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Avon Grove Charter has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Avon Grove Charter and Fellowship of Christian Athletes were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but Avon Grove Charter came up empty-handed after a 65-64 defeat.
