The Crossroad Academy Scorpions suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Marianna 70-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Crossroad Academy has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Crossroad Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jabari Boahen dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Boahen hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Myron Tennell, who scored nine points.
Crossroad Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Marianna, their victory was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2.
Crossroad Academy will take on Munroe at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marianna, they will take on Graceville at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Graceville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Marianna is ranked 74th).
