The Columbia Christian Crusaders were the 54-48 winner over the Parkers Chapel Trojans when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Columbia Christian fell to Parkers Chapel 62-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Columbia Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Goodwin, who scored 20 points. Goodwin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Burley, who scored 14 points.
Columbia Christian bumped their record down to 17-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Parkers Chapel, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Columbia Christian will head out on the road to face off against Claiborne Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Parkers Chapel, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Junction City at 7:00 p.m.
