On Friday, The Parkersburg South Patriots faced the Wheeling Park Patriots in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Parkersburg South was outmatched by Wheeling Park on the road and fell 64-14. Parkersburg South was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-0.
Turner Garretson threw for 70 yards on nine of 21 attempts. Devon Forshey was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards. On the ground, Gage Wright rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown.

As for Wheeling Park, they will head out on the road to face off against John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. John Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Wheeling Park is ranked sixth).
