Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dallas Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Sharp Academy Sabers 73-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted since December 3, 2024.

Sharp Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Timothy Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 25 boards, and Michael Boyles, who posted 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 43.3% of Sharp Academy's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Chase Keyton also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Dallas Academy moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Sharp Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Dallas Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-23 victory against Flint Academy on the 4th. As for Sharp Academy, they will be playing at home against Dallas Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. One thing working in Dallas Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
