If the Towson Generals were feeling good off their 69-46 takedown of the Perry Hall Gators last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Towson took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls on Wednesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Towson in their matchups with the Owls: they've now lost eight in a row.
Towson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Seven Wheeler, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Korey Collins who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Wheeler is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Will Fryer, who scored five points along with three steals.
