The Billingsley Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Verbena with points to spare, taking the game 53-36. The victory was just what Billingsley needed coming off of a 61-30 loss in their prior contest.
Alana Jones was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. The match was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Kaliyah McCary was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Billingsley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Verbena, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Billingsley will be playing at home against Thorsby at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Verbena, they will head out on the road to face off against Maplesville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
