Central Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cayle Grossart, who scored 11 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Butcher, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
St. Edward's defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.4 points per game. As for Central Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
