This season hasn't been kind to the Michigan School for the Deaf Tartars, who are still winless after their eighth game. They were beaten by Davis Aerospace Tech 50-9 on Thursday. Michigan School for the Deaf lost against Davis Aerospace Tech in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 42-23 score last time.
Davis Aerospace Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braylin Edwards-Porter led the charge by scoring 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myron Dean, who scored 12 points.
Michigan School for the Deaf bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.3 points per game. As for Davis Aerospace Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Michigan School for the Deaf's homestand continues as they prepare to take on More Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Davis Aerospace Tech won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Academy of the Americas at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Academy of the Americas comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
