Gulf Shores is 0-8 against Spanish Fort since August of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Dolphins will be playing at home against the Toros at 7:00 p.m.
Gulf Shores is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against St. Paul's Episcopal on Friday. The Dolphins took a 27-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The Dolphins gained 149 more yards on the day, but it was the Saints that made the best use of them.

While Gulf Shores came up short, they sure didn't make it easy for St. Paul's Episcopal: they limited their QB to completion percentage of just 45.5%. The team can thank Dwayne ?Joc? Prince for the heroic effort on defense: he. Gulf Shores hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.48 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Spanish Fort, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 41-22 win over Blount on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Toros in their matchups with the Leopards: they've now won seven in a row.
Gulf Shores better keep an eye on Justin 'JuJu' Bonner. He was instrumental in Spanish Fort's win, rushing for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also picking up 64 receiving yards and one TD. Bonner's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards. Another player making a difference was Jaylyn 'JJ' Thibodeaux, who threw for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Spanish Fort didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Henry Perryman and Tykwon 'Trelan' Thomas. Another thorn in Blount's side was Sam Wilder, who picked up three sacks and made eight total tackles.
Spanish Fort now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Gulf Shores, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
