Emmett is 1-9 against the Falcons since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Emmett Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Vallivue Falcons at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Idaho (Emmett is ranked 81st, while the Falcons are ranked 61st).
Emmett won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-42 loss at the hands of Bishop Kelly.
Meanwhile, Vallivue came up short against the Warhawks on Thursday and fell 62-50. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Vallivue in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now lost three in a row.
Emmett dropped their record down to 7-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Vallivue, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Emmett skirted past the Falcons 60-57 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Emmett since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
