Kreyton Wiese Delivers Electric Effort Vs Wallace
Starting off the list is Wauneta-Palisade's Kreyton Wiese, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Wiese rushed for 190 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Wauneta-Palisade is 2-1 when Wiese posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.
This season, Wiese has run in 16 touchdowns while averaging 125.6 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.

Joe Eakins Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Joe Eakins was a major factor in Paxton's win over Medicine Valley on Friday. Eakins was excellent, rushing for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also catching a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (101.6). He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles.
Paxton now has a winning record of 4-3. Eakins and Paxton will take on Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Wins 19th-Straight Thanks to Maddox Jones
Maddox Jones was instrumental in extending Sumner-Eddyville-Miller's winning streak to 19 on Friday. Southwest had no answer to Jones as he rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Jones got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards.
Sumner-Eddyville-Miller pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Jones and Sumner-Eddyville-Miller are taking a road trip to square off against Wallace at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Ashtin Johns Goes Supernova in Wallace Loss
Ashtin Johns posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.1 yards per carry.
Wallace moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Johns and Wallace will host Sumner-Eddyville-Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Maddex Mcconnell Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Maddex Mcconnell posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, rushing for 42 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 37 receiving yards.
On the season, Mcconnell has averaged 23.6 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 6.43 receiving yards per game.
