If the Fullerton Warriors were riding high off their 53-15 takedown of the Elba Bluejays on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fullerton took a hard 41-26 fall against St. Francis on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fullerton of the 43-17 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Fullerton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isabel Norman. Despite the final result, she scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Norman has scored all season.
Fullerton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for St. Francis, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Fullerton will be playing at home against Elba at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Hopefully Central Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
