Baseball Recap: St. Stanislaus Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

There's no place like home for St. Stanislaus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Perry Central Bulldogs 6-0 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Rock-a-Chaws, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jackson Orozco tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Wiley Mossy, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

St. Stanislaus has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. Perry Central's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

St. Stanislaus wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against St. Patrick on the 18th. As for Perry Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-3 victory against Lamar Christian on the 21st.
