The Louise Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Shiner Comanches at 6:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Louise has struggled recently with ten defeats in a row, while the Comanches will arrive with 21 straight wins.
On Friday, Louise took a serious blow against the Bobcats/Lady Cats, falling 49-21. Louise has not had much luck with the Bobcats/Lady Cats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
In what's become a running theme this season, Shiner gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 51-14 victory over Schulenburg. Given Shiner's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Shorthorns are ranked 1426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Louise dropped their record down to 8-21 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.4 points per game. As for Shiner, their victory bumped their record up to 28-2.
Louise took a serious blow against the Comanches in their previous meeting back in January, falling 52-14. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Louise was down 30-7.
