The St. John Lutheran Saints had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.1 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 69-24 victory over Redeemer Christian at home. St. John Lutheran's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
St. John Lutheran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabel Freeman out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Freeman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gracie Sue Rice, who scored 17 points along with four steals and two blocks.
St. John Lutheran pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Redeemer Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John Lutheran will square off against HEART HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. HEART HomeSchool comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Redeemer Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Riverside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
