Despite the loss, Douglas Byrd had strong showings from Leilani Grice, who scored seven points along with six rebounds, and Jazmine Burns, who scored two points along with three steals. Burns is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. Sheryraye Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Jack Britt's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Douglas Byrd, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
