Baseball Recap: Greenville Wins Going Away Against Holmes County Central

Greenville won the last time they faced Holmes County Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hornets were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Jaguars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

William Arrington looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Ladarius Adkins was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Bradley Nall, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Greenville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Greenville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Holmes County Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5-4.
