Millard had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-8 to make it five. They fell 10-5 to the Beaver Beavers. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Beavers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.
Macie Wade put in work no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and nine unearned) runs off ten hits. Wade was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Savannah Turner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Maren Davies, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
As for Beaver, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly five runs.
Like Millard, Beaver also got a great game from a two-way player: Lexi Hafen. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hafen was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other pitching news, KaBella Low looked comfortable as she tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Jerzee Beaumont was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three doubles, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Danzee Bradshaw was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Looking ahead, Millard will head out to square off against North Sevier at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beaver, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Juan at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
