Things haven't been easy for McDermitt, and their game on Saturday only extended their streak of losses to five. They were dealt a punishing 18-54 defeat at the hands of Carlin. The state rankings had actually given McDermitt a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week McDermitt take on Independence at 2:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games. Carlin will take on Wells at home at 7:00 PM. Wells have averaged 61.2 points over the course of their past three games, so Carlin might be in for a challenge.
