The St. Pius X Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 61-29 victory over Pembroke Hill. That 32 points margin sets a new team best for St. Pius X this season.
St. Pius X's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Coons, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Maecy Hinkebein was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The win (which was St. Pius X's third in a row) raised their record to 7-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Pembroke Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Pius X the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome St. Teresa's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Pembroke Hill will take on Maryville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
