Highland Rim Academy were the 34-31 winner over South Haven Christian when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Highland Rim Academy received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 39-23 to South Haven Christian.
South Haven Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aliya Gagliano out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Gagliano is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Sarah Slagle was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Highland Rim Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for South Haven Christian, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.
Highland Rim Academy will head out on the road to take on Christian Community at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Community will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Highland Rim Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Haven Christian, they will be playing at home against Pleasant View Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pleasant View Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Monday.
