It was a good run, but Graphics unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 79-69 to Utica Academy of Science. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Akol Machteng was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds for Utica Academy of Science. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Machteng has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Doneilious King j.r, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Graphics' loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Utica Academy of Science, their victory bumped their record up to 4-14.
Graphics does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Utica Academy of Science is on the road again on Friday and plays Mekeel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Mekeel Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 944 points over their last 12 matches.
