Carter Jaeger Drops League-Best Performance on Thursday
Starting off the list is Sterling's Carter Jaeger, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jaeger's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 140 rushing yards. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
The win (which was Sterling's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Jaeger will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Fort Lupton on Friday.

Rossi Came Up Big in Weld Central's 42-24 Defeat
Marcello Rossi's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fourth-straight game with 126+ rushing yards. He rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
Rossi is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Brush on Thursday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Rossi saw the Beetdiggers), he rushed for 180 yards, and also picked up 42 receiving yards.

Josiah Gonzales Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Saturday, Fort Lupton had to settle for second even though Josiah Gonzales put up the best numbers he has all season. Gonzales threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 69 yards on only nine carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble, making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defending a pass.
Fort Lupton is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Gonzales' next contest is against Sterling on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.
