The Chicago Academy Cougars stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They breezed by Schurz at home to the tune of 58-26. The win was nothing new for Chicago Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.
Lizbeth Sanchez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Rodriguez, who scored six points along with nine steals.
When it comes to explaining why Schurz lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rayonna Blount. Despite the final result, she scored ten points.
Chicago Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Schurz, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
