The Wharton Wildcats entered their tilt with the Hillsborough Terriers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Wharton took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-7 victory over Hillsborough. Considering Wharton has won four matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Among those leading the charge was Jackson Jensen, who threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns. Wharton also got help from Taquawn Anthony who showed off his sure hands for 121 receiving yards.
Several Terriers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Hamilton, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown. Hamilton's longest reception was for an incredible 99 yards.
Wharton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Hillsborough, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Wharton will head out on the road to face off against Armwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Armwood's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five matches. As for Hillsborough, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northeast is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
