Piute came into Wednesday's match looking for another win against Wayne, but Madilynn Jacobson wouldn't allow it. The Badgers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Thunderbirds on Wednesday with plenty of help from Jacobson, who had 35 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Wayne was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (115-113), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 20-25, 26-24, 20-18.

Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Piute, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Wayne and Piute will both be playing Monticello the next time they take the court. The Thunderbirds will host the Buckaroo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Badgers will host them at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
