The Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers lost against the Franklin County Tech Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Putnam Vo-Tech ended up on the wrong side of a tough 58-37 walloping at the hands of the Eagles. Putnam Vo-Tech has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their matchup on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Franklin County Tech to victory were Hannah Gilbert and Lea Chapman. Gilbert dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Chapman dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. Gilbert is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Goodell, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Putnam Vo-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Franklin County Tech, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
Putnam Vo-Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Franklin County Tech will head out on the road to take on the Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
