The School of the Woods Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 37-11 walloping at the hands of Annapolis Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss School of the Woods has suffered since November 11, 2023.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Savannah Phan and
Maria Romero, who each put up four points. Phan also led the team in assists with an. She held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Annapolis Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Genesis Lopez, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaitali Olvera, who scored eight points.
School of the Woods' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6. As for Annapolis Christian Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.
School of the Woods will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against FBCHA at 6:00 p.m. Annapolis Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lifegate Christian at 11:00 p.m. on January 26th.
