Moorestown extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-13. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Gloucester County Tech. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Quakers have suffered since April 28, 2025.
Moorestown got a massive performance out of Devon Kodish, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Bri Radziemski, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs.
As for Gloucester County Tech, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.
On Gloucester County Tech's side, Carly Hernandez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off ten hits. Hernandez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riley Cohen, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Kroupa, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Moorestown and Gloucester County Tech could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Quakers (ranked 283rd) will meet Cherry Hill East (ranked 41st) at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gloucester County Tech will face off against Donovan Catholic at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (107 vs. 5).
