Leon is 1-9 against North Florida Christian since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Lions will challenge the Eagles at 4:30  p.m. Leon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.4  runs per game  this season.

Meanwhile, North Florida Christian hadn't done well against Florida State University High School recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Seminoles  a   3-0 shutout. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Eagles.
The result came thanks to  Skylar Young's shutout, as she gave up just a  hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, North Florida Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Brynlee Pafford, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for North Florida Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Thursday's   matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Leon hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .385. However, it's not like North Florida Christian struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
