Acalanes moved up to 277 from 337 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Diablo Foothill. A 21-17 win over Las Lomas helped the Dons improve their standing.
Dublin took down Dougherty Valley 45-19 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Knights' Adam Wood and Robby Ow have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wood has thrown for 296 yards this season, while Ow, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has nine catches for 192 yards. The Gaels' Ondre Rudolph leads the league in rushing yards with 189.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Acalanes takes on Miramonte. As it stands, Mike Ivankovich's team is in second, while the Matadors are in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when Las Lomas and Dublin face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Doug Longero's team comes in having scored 91 this season, while the Gaels have scored 177. The Knights scored 17 points last week as they lost to the Dons.
Acalanes and Las Lomas played the most hotly contested game in Diablo Foothill this week, with Acalanes eventually emerging with a 21-17 victory.
