The Kearney Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Oak Park Northmen with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kearney snuck past Oak Park with a 50-45 victory on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given Kearney's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Oak Park is ranked 78th).
Kearney got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Quick out in front who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Quick has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Bomar, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Kearney's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Oak Park, they dropped their record down to 14-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Kearney will challenge Winnetonka at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Park, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Truman at 7:00 p.m.
