Sierra Vista won against Liberty last Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Mountain Lions came out on top against the Bonanza Bengals by a score of 7-4. The victory was nothing new for the Mountain Lions as they're now sitting on six straight.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Villa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Tommy McDonald also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Sierra Vista pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Bonanza, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sierra Vista and Bonanza will both be playing Del Sol the next time they take the field. The Mountain Lions will host the Dragons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bengals will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
