On Friday Lexington take on Purcell at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Lexington, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
After having lost a blowout to Anadarko in their previous match, Lexington were happy to find some success last Friday. Everything went Lexington's way against Dibble as the team secured a 44-8 victory. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Lexington had established a 22-0 advantage.
Meanwhile, if Purcell were riding high off their 30-6 takedown of Lindsay two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Purcell might be aching after a bruising 0-31 loss to Washington. Purcell were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-24.
Lexington's win lifted them to 1-1 while Purcell's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Lexington can add another positive mark to their record or if Purcell can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Lexington's step.
