It was a good run, but the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. The contest between Arrowhead Christian Academy and Tri-City Christian Academy wasn't particularly close, with Arrowhead Christian Academy falling 45-28. Arrowhead Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tri-City Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Anna Bright and Isabella Hernandez. Bright dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Hernandez scored eight points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that Bright scored 15 or more points.
Leading Tri-City Christian Academy to victory were Peyton Jacobsen and Grace Johnson. Jacobsen scored nine points along with nine rebounds, while Johnson scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jacobsen is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Arrowhead Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against 91st Psalm Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 91st Psalm Christian School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Imagine Prep Coolidge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Imagine Prep Coolidge is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
