The Trent Gorillas's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight defeat. They were dealt a 91-16 defeat at the hands of Westbrook. Trent was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.
Ethan King continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Westbrook, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points King has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brannon Larson, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Trent's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-15. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for Westbrook, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Trent will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Trent is facing Highland at the right time seeing as Highland is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Westbrook, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ira at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
